President's Welcome

WELCOME TO WUAXC

We are one of the largest clubs on Warwick campus with a wide range of members from every discipline and a vibrant social scene, and we are a welcoming and friendly club for everyone of all abilities. I’m Tom and I am the club’s President for 2023-24. I’m going into my final year studying Economics and Global Sustainable Development and I have been running for over 10 years, specialising in cross country. I joined WUAXC as soon as I started uni and it has been the best decision I’ve ever made, so I definitely recommend joining and trying out everything our club has to offer. 

Never has there been a better time to join WUAXC, with the club thriving in all areas. Cross country success means the club is home to the reigning Birmingham XC League men’s and junior men’s champions, and performances on the track make it the home of a BUCS champion. Club depth was shown in the teams top 10 finish in the BUCS B race, and the social running part of the club has hit its highest ever numbers. 

We also have engaging and energetic socials every week that help make the club the family that it is, and our strong team of social secs will always make sure that there is a social for you. The rest of our exec team will also keep the club running smoothly so you always know what’s going on and how to get involved.

I’m looking forward to what I’m sure will be one of the biggest years yet for WUAXC, as well as meeting all new members and welcoming back those returning.
