TRAINING

SPRINTS COACHING

Our sprints coach provides dynamic drills and expert coaching at Monday evening training. Training plans are tailored to meet the Team's needs, generating strong results for both individual members and the wider Club.


ENDURANCE COACHING

Our cross country and endurance coach takes into account the Club's goals for the cross country season and creates a training plan alongside our XC Captain Tom. Combined with dedicated training, our members consistently perform to the highest standards.


OPEN TRACK SESSIONS

Our Open Track sessions are the perfect opportunity to train individually on the track and work through your own session. They run on Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 3-5 pm.


STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING

Circuits and S&C are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and are designed to reduce injury risk by correcting muscle imbalances and improving muscle activation, as well as increasing the efficiency of running biomechanics; which most importantly results in improved running performance.


BAREFOOT RUNNING

Led by treasurer Ollie, barefoot running sessions are held either at Westwood Track or Cryfield Pitches. Barefoot running sessions activate the smaller muscles in the feet, ankles, legs, and hips that are responsible for better balance and coordination which overall prevents injury, enhances running efficiency, and improves performance.



LMC PHYSIO

LMC Physio offers club members a 10% exclusive discount on Physiotherapy and Sports Therapy assessments and treatments. The discount has been added to their system, so members simply need to mention that they are a WUAXC member when making an appointment.
